Design Project Requirements

Your Project and Power Point Presentation needs to be ready by Thursday's Class Session (3/05). Here are some items to include in your Power Point Presentation:

  1. What problem your device is solving

  2. Include System Block Diagram illustrating the solution or innovation

  3. BOM (Bill of Materials)

  4. Explanation of Core Embedded Subcircuit and associated circuits (reference System Block Diagram in discussion)

  5. Detailed circuit schematic diagrams

  6. References (Circuits, Circuit Theory, textbooks, and websites)

Remember to have fun with your design project and be creative! You must bring in a working prototype of your Design Project and demonstrate it in order to receive full credit!

Lab Notebook

If you haven't done so, turn in your lab notebook for final review by the instructor.

Hi Class, welcome to Control Systems.

This course is intended to introduce the CEET (Computer & Electronics Engineering Technology) student to Industrial Control Systems using PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers. The architecture of PLCs, wiring diagrams, Ladder Logic programming will be presented to the classroom lectures and laboratory exercises and projects.  Timers, Counters, Data Manipulation, and Control Instructions will be illustrated via hands-on labs using an actual PLC and simulation software. In addition, the multidisciplinary field of Mechatronics will be discuss as it relates to current technology trends from trade publications and research literature. Let's get started with essentials for the course.
